Happy Monday to all of you Creative Hearts!!
I'm still into the hot glue gun.....can't seem to put it down. Today, I'm "beautifying" the frame of a mirror. I just love the way the hot glue, Gel Press prints, and dark paint come together to create such a "rich" look.
Here we go.....
List of Supplies
Framed mirror from craft store (I purchased mine at Michaels)
Americana Acrylic Craft Paint
8" X 10" Gel Press Plate
Plain white copy paper
Foamies Foam Stamps
Dollar Store dart board for texture
Decou-Page Matte
Black Liquitex Gesso
Inka Gold Metallic Paste - Copper and Green
Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint - Carbon Black and Brown
Have a great Monday and a wonderful week!!
PEACE!!

Thank you so much...I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
DeleteThis is fantastic and I am going to have a play with it. Dx
ReplyDeleteThank you.....and, yes definitely, try it out!
DeleteThis is gorgeous. My question tho - how do you use hot glue so well. I just make big messes and cannot seem to control it!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hot glue is kind of messy, but I just keep going and worry about pulling off all of the "strings" afterward. Sometimes I even use a little razor knife to cut away strings or blobs that I don't like. And, I try to keep even pressure on the trigger so that it flows out consistently. Thanks for asking.
DeleteI enjoyed your video and what a fabulous mirror you have created! Love that texture made with the glue!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've become a little addicted to the hot glue because you can use it on so many things. If you are interested, I have a couple of other hot glue projects on my YouTube channel.
