Happy Creative Heart Monday!

I'm making all kinds of texture today.  I couldn't think of what to do.....so I decided to do it all.  I even pulled out the fusible interfacing that I bought a couple years ago.  I also watched a video on making "faux handmade paper".......that was soooooo easy.

Inspiration from the GREATS! - Henri Rousseau

Welcome to Inspiration from the GREATS!

This month we are being inspired by Henri Rousseau (May 21, 1844 – September 2, 1910) a French post-impressionist painter in the Naïve or Primitive manner. He was a toll collector.  He was self-taught and his work influenced several generations of avant garde artists.

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to do this piece.  I, finally, settled on Prismacolor pencils.  So, here we go..................

Creative Heart Monday - Mother's Day Project - Mixed Media Canvases

Happy Creative Heart Monday!

It's a little early for Mother's day, but I thought I'd get an early start on a couple small canvases.  I love these small 4" X 4" X 1 1/2" canvas blocks.  You can hang them on the wall or set them up on a little stand.

I used my 1908 typewriter to type the quotes on cardstock.
