Creative Heart Monday 1/4/2016 "Three Friends"

Here it is!  My first ever Creative Heart Monday video.

Creative Heart Monday is a, free, weekly, video series where I will be creating a piece of art, start to finish, using various mixed-media techniques and supplies.

In this first video, I grabbed a bunch of things that I never use...handmade stamps, dimensional paint, hand-cut stencils, etc.  Without a solid plan, I just played around.  I ended up with a very colorful piece.  All of the supplies are mentioned in the video, but here is another complete list:

Black and White Liquitex Gesso
Golden Fluid Acrylics - Quinacridone Magenta, Green Gold, Turquoise (Phyalo), Teal
Decoart Media Spray Paint - Primary Magenta
Decoart Americana - Citron Green, Carousel Pink
Scribbles Dimensional Paint - Irridescent Charcoal Grey, Neon Pink, Shiny White
Stabilo "All" Pencil
Pigma Micron Pen - Black
Montana Paint Pens - Black and White

Here are some other Creative Heart Monday videos that I have planned:
  • How to make a trinket box using hand-painted papers
  • How to make hand-painted papers
  • Abstract Faces
  • What to do with all of those Gelli-prints
  • Funky houses
  • Ink and alcohol painting

    1. Love all your colors. Thanks for the video and inspiration. This is a great technique.
      Happy New Year!

      1. Thank you so much for you wonderful comment and Happy New Year to you too!

    2. Who makes the texture plates you showed in the video?

      1. I bought them a long time ago at a small craft store and, of course, threw away the package. However, I just found them on Amazon. These are exactly what I have. They come 6 to a package and can be used for many things.
