My First Give-A-Way!!!!!

I've really started building a following since the beginning of the year.  I started making videos on a regular basis, and it has enabled me to meet so many nice people online, and receive some wonderful feedback.

I'm really excited because I have almost reached 1000 views on one of my videos.  (I know that's not a lot in Justin Beiber/BeyoncĂ© land, but it's a lot for me).

The subscribers to my blog and "Creative Heart Monday" have increased and I would like to say "thank you".  So.....here's the deal....check out my "Circle" video and share it with someone (or several someones)...then, comment below.  Everyone that comments will be entered in a drawing.  The drawing will be held within 24 hours of the video reaching 1016 views.

What will you win??????  The "Circle" mixed-media piece, of course.  I will contact the winner for your mailing address.

I'm not advertising this giveaway on Facebook or any other social media.  I'm just putting this out to my subscribers.  If you share this with someone, and they subscribe to my blog (before we reach 1016 views, I will enter them too!  We are at 973 views......so we don't have much further to go.

Thank you and good luck!!

PEACE!

Creative Heart Monday - You're Invited!

Do you have a "creative heart"?  Beginning on January 4, 2016, I will post a new video every Monday morning to get our creative juices flowing for the week.

I will be trying out some new (to me) techniques.....new (to me) products....new subject matter.

I will also be including a quote from a famous artist each week.  Those famous men and women said a lot of inspirational and thoughtful things.  Who knows.....maybe one of those quotes will be the spark that leads to our masterpiece.

2016 is my year to be brave and crazy.  I would like for you to join me.  All of you "creative souls" out there know what it's like to struggle with "I'm not as good as she is" or "what if they don't like my art".  It's easy to let those negative thoughts seep in, but let's REFUSE them this year!  Pick up a brush, a pen, a crayon and start creating!

CREATIVE HEART MONDAY!

Peace,

Cyndi

My Favorite Song

I have loved Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young for a very, very long time.  Actually, it was my first husband that turned me on to them.  My second (and current) husband exposed me to even more of their music.  All of their songs are great, but it's their voices that make them so unique.  The harmony that these guys create is truly angelic.

My favorite song is Leeshore.  I don't usually like to listen to my music at high volumes, but I make an exception for this song.  If you close your eyes and let this song wash over you, it's like you can actually feel the ocean breeze all around you.

Do yourself a favor.  Watch this video.  It 's just David Crosby and Graham Nash doing a duet of the song.  It's recorded from some TV show in 1970.  The song was originally on their album 4 Way Street.  Buy the song on ITunes - you won't regret it.

Happy Sunday Evening.

Peace,
Cyndi

Beautiful Evening

Here's a couple pictures that I took this evening while walking around the yard.  I like to take pictures of the trees because I envision using them as backgrounds in my artwork by using the gel transfer technique.  I'm a procrastinator, so I haven't actually finished a piece yet, but I'm working on it.

Here are a few video tutorials showing various transfer techniques:
