Happy Creative Heart Monday......on Wednesday!

First, I'd like to apologize for missing two Mondays.  I've had a crazy couple of weeks.  My parents have been in and out of doctor's appointments and the hospital.  Even though they are only in their 70's (so not super old yet LOL), I still feel it necessary to accompany them to their important appointments and, of course, when they're in the hospital.

On top of that, I have another art festival this weekend and have been trying to make some new art, get organized, packed, etc.

So today's video is actually a project that I did for Gel Press a couple month's ago for their blog.  The video was never "public", so you might not have seen it.  If you did already see it, I've also put another (very small) project video up on YouTube.

I've spent the past few days making prints for a purchase in my Etsy shop......then I just couldn't stop. I used this Donna Downey stencil in my art journal the other day (here's a video if you want to see it). I wanted to use it again on something so here it is......

How to Make a Wooden Bunting

I needed a banner for my new art fair tent, so I figured that I would make one.  I found some, cute, wooden flags at the craft store and I already had the rest of the supplies.

Here's my tent.  I've set it up in my front yard so that I can figure out how I'm going to arrange the displays and hang my paintings.

I hung the bunting on my fireplace so that I could take these pictures.  I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to attach it to my tent yet.

Today, I'm using several of my Gel Press plates as stamps.  I'm creating a very, very, very layered background, then using some, handmade, masks to develop the design.

I had an old, never finished, piece of art way back in my closet, so it was time to make something happen with that pitiful canvas panel.

Holiday Star with Gel Press Prints

I went to New York last weekend and we visited the John Lennon Memorial in Central Park - Strawberry Fields.  It's right across the street from the Dakota - where John Lennon lived and, tragically died.
